2013
La Carrera Panamericana
2013 LCP OVERVIEW
Veracruz to Zacatecas
2013 was Renee’s debut year as a driver in notably the world’s toughest road rally race, La Carrera Panamericana. In her newly prepared car which was barely ready, an untested crew, and a seasoned navigator, Valkyrie Racing had a remarkable finish. The team conquered the stress and struggles inherent to the race, and overcame an accident on day 6. At the close of the race, Renée became the 1st woman driver to win her class and only the second woman in the history of the race to win in any class. Additionally, she was the only woman to drive and finish La Carrera Panamericana that year. Her 356 Porsche won the title of Most Beautiful Race Car and started its journey as "the car that could and would" and together with Renée, her navigator, and her crew, they began a tale to tell. Their racing would catch the interest of fans worldwide as she continued to make racing history.
